This evening, the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition was unveiled.
This machine is the most potent version of the Redmi K50 series. It is equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ flagship processor. The super core frequency of this chip is increased to 3.2GHz. While the performance is improved, the power consumption of the Snapdragon 8+ is also incredibly optimized.
The official said that the CPU power consumption is reduced by about 30% compared with the Snapdragon 8, the GPU power consumption is reduced by up to 30%, and the overall power consumption of the platform is reduced by about 15% compared with the Snapdragon 8.
Not only that, the K50 Extreme Edition uses a custom 1.5K ultra-clear resolution screen, The look and feel are close to the 2K screen, and the screen resolution is increased to 2712*1220, 446PPi. The answer is directly comparable to the iPhone 13 Pro Max (458PPI). At an average viewing distance of about 20 cm, the actual look and feel is almost the same as that of a 2K screen.
Regarding pixel arrangement, the K50 Extreme Edition adopts the latest pixel arrangement technology from two major screen manufacturers: Tianma Windmill and Huaxing Pearl 2.0 arrangement. Compared with the previous domestic OLED pixel arrangement, the loss of OLED clarity is effectively reduced, a higher equivalent resolution is achieved, and the display effect is more delicate and smooth.
Xiaomi founder Lei Jun introduced the 1.5K screen of the K50 Extreme Edition. It is the product of the joint establishment of laboratories by Redmi, Huaxing, and Tianma, two domestic screen factories, and a large number of resources invested.
Through this 1.5K screen, I hope to reverse the industry’s reputation and views on domestic OLEDs and rectify the name of domestic OLEDs.
