Musk’s wealth accumulation rate has exceeded many people’s imagination; both the world’s richest man and the highest-paid CEO in the United States.
According to reports, the media recently released a survey of CEO salaries in 2021; Musk earned more than $10 billion in 2021, making him the highest-paid CEO in the U.S., which is perhaps the highest annual salary on the planet.
Tesla rival Rivian’s CEO Scalinger was the runner-up with a nearly $2.3 billion salary. In comparison, Apple CEO Cook came in third with $853 million, and Musk has topped the list for four consecutive years. In addition, more than 30 executives received more than $100 million in compensation in this list.
It is worth noting that among the top 14 highest-paid CEOs, the remaining 13 CEOs were paid a total of $6.3 billion, just over half of Musk’s.
As previously reported, in April this year, Forbes released the 2022 global billionaires list. Musk ranked first in the rich list with total assets of $219 billion.
And Musk’s salary is mainly composed of various stock options, which have added about $78 billion to his wealth, with total assets already reaching $269 billion.
